I was delighted to do a full-day autism training for teachers in Louisiana, sponsored by the YMCA Y-CUBS (Children’s United Benefits and Services) of Greater New Orleans. In the morning I spoke about “The ABCs of Autism in the Classroom: Setting the Stage for Success” and in the afternoon I talked about “Preparing Your Autistic Students for Life After Graduation: Their Roadmap to Adulting”. It was such a privilege to meet so many dedicated teachers. They came in on a Saturday to learn more about their students on the spectrum and strategies to better serve them. Huge thanks to the amazing Y-CUBS team that made it all happen!
